2022 Collaborative Journalism Summit
May 19 @ 9:00 am - May 20 @ 4:00 pm CDT
Join us in Chicago for the 2022 Collaborative Journalism Summit!
This year’s Collaborative Journalism Summit will be hosted in person in Chicago, in partnership with the Department of Communication in the School of Media Arts at Columbia College Chicago. You’ll be treated to two days of lightning talks, workshops and participatory discussions about a wide array of #collaborativej topics and projects. The full lineup will be announced in March.
The Summit will kick off on May 19 and wrap up on May 20, 2022.
Note that we’re NOT kidding when we say “jam-packed” — the Summit is designed to be a fast-paced event that’s full to the brim.
When you register, you’ll find two options for both virtual and in-person tickets—Gold and Silver. Please choose the option that best fits you and your organization’s financial situation. We also have no-cost scholarship tickets available to ensure ticket price is not a barrier for participation. If you need one, just let us know by emailing [email protected].
In-person attendees are invited to join us for a welcome reception at City Bureau on the evening of May 19. This is a limited capacity event and pre-registration is required.
As usual, the Summit comes with Code of Conduct and Care policies and our Commitments pledge. Our commitments are driven by our focus on improving the inclusivity of the Summit and diversity of its speakers and participants. We require all Summit attendees to review our commitments and policies during registration; you can read them at https://collaborativejournalism.org/cjs2022/commitments/

IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION:
All in-person attendees must provide valid proof of vaccination in order to be admitted to the event. Columbia College Chicago requires masks indoors in all college buildings, regardless of vaccination status, and strongly encourages all individuals to follow current CDC guidance .
Our goal is to host an event that prioritizes the health and safety of everyone involved. In the event that the CDC, Montclair State University, Columbia College Chicago, the states of New Jersey or Illinois, or other relevant governing bodies issue updated COVID-related guidance or restrictions that prevent us from hosting the Summit in person, the Summit will be hosted in-place via Zoom instead.
If that happens, all CJS attendees, speakers, and sponsors will be notified as soon as possible and provided with additional information about changes to ticket prices, event access, and other issues.
